Hallam Fields Junior School is one of Erewash Museum’s regular visitors and often takes part in FREE education
workshops offered at the museum.

The school itself has a rich history linked to Stanton Ironworks and the pupils and staff are busy delving
into the school archives exploring its origins. They want to share what they have found with the local community and have produced a web page https://hallamfieldshistory.wordpress.com/ it is well worth a look.

If you are interested in knowing more about Stanton Ironworks why not visit the museums Stanton Ironworks Gallery which
will give you an insight into its rich industrial heritage and coming soon the museum will be opening its brand new local studies area which will house material on the history and heritage of Erewash including Stanton.

For more information on FREE school workshops at Erewash Museum contact Debbi Mills, Learning and Community Development
Officer on debbi.mills@erewash.gov.uk or 0115 907 1141.
